I am RUSSIAN outta here!

I feel like I learned a lot today from John Gully. Last time we did Meisner I don't think I really got it. I like to "live in my head" a lot, and I believe my Meisner exercise turned into a "how can I make this actor-ey and ridiculous?" I finally realized that this "game" is all about understanding your impulses. Additionally, the scene reading with Taylor and Andy was AMAZING. I was spellbound by that performance. It hit me as bam: this is what good acting it. Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to do the exercise myself, and being the "in my head" actor that I am, I probably would have benefited a lot. Oh well.

As for the run through, I was sad that it turned to poop. I want to start getting into the acting business of the play because I haven't been able to judge if I am in the right place with Biron or not. Wednesday here we come! Tomorrow, I think we're doing clown work. I'm not entirely sure what that means, but it sure sounds like a whole lot of fun!
