Today was a good day. The first reason it was good was because I had two cinnamon bagels with rasberry cream cheese for breakfast. Yum.
Anyways, I was a little worried when I saw the new Shakespeare teacher in a group. My first thought was, "You can't join our club!" But, she really did a great job. I feel that I better understand my part, even if what she was saying was extremely simple.
Lunch was a bad experience for me. Other than the fact that there were no opposums in the trash (yes, I did say Opossums), I did feel left out. Because it was too hot to eat outside, I thought I would try inside. What I found where a bunch of groups that were hard to merge with. It seemed like every person had their little group, and if you tried to join, you were shunned. I did have a few people like Blake try to throw me a conversation lifeline, but it was still a bad experience. Maybe it was all in my head, but it just felt a lot less friendly than normal.
Then, the best part of the day, THE QUESTION GAME!!! I had a great time, with mind ninjas running all over the place, who wouldn't? You know a game is good when it gets more intense than a game of spoons.
So, all in all, it was a fun day. I hope tomorrow at lunch, I will have a better experience. Maybe it's just freshman hazing. ;)
Quote of the Day: Not a player, not a poser, not a loser, not a user. (Not from today, but just a good quote)
The plan had always been to split the casts whenever possible. That's how STC works. It just wasn't possible yesterday.
ReplyDeleteOK. I thought we didn't have a plan besides incorperating Shakespeare with sex jokes.
ReplyDeleteHey, if you ever feel left out again at lunch, feel free to push me out of the way and join in my circle. I would have been happy to have you to talk to- I guess I just didn't see you today.
